BOOF 2012: Film Concept Competition!

- The Challenge: Create and submit an original film concept no longer than three minutes about teenager gambling issue. The concept should be presented in a storyboard format and can include a script and list of shots that would be included in the final film.
- Who is Eligible: This competition is open to youths who are ages 13-19. Entries may be submitted by individuals or a team (no more than three members per team)
- The Prizes: 1st prize is $50, 2nd prize is $30, and 3rd prize is $20
- Judging: The video should:
- Be original (must be the artist’s original creation)
- Focus on the issue of teenager gambling
- Present realistic goals and plans for success
- Convey a clear plan to spread their message
- Be appealing to both youth and adults

- How to Enter: Submit your initial storyboard concept, application, and supporting Parent Consent Form by February 3, 2012. Each entry must include with the concept:
- A completed application
- A completed and signed Parent Consent Form for each team member (Entrants 18 years old may complete and sign the form themselves)
- Submit all documents by:

BOOF 2011: Spotlight Festival
- Date: 6/19/2011 - 6/22/2011
- Location: Anaheim, CA
- Summary: Betting on Our Future (BOOF) is a youth-driven problem gambling awareness campaign supported by the California Friday Night Live Partnership through a grant from the California Office of Problem Gambling. In June 2011, students from across California attended and participated in the second Betting On Our Future (BOOF) "Spotlight Festival".

Teen Summit 2008: Exploring a World of Possibilities
- Date: 8/5/2008 - 8/10/2008
- Location: Boston, MA
- Summary: Over 300 teens and their chaperones from 20 countries have traveled to Boston for a global Teen Summit, hosted by the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network. Youth leaders, ages from 13 to 18 have used their technology skills, teamwork, and their imaginations to help create solutions for issues faced by their communities. Activities included but not limited to: hands-on exploration of new technologies, career and college fair, presentations and demonstrations by industry professionals, etc.
