The Behavioral Health component provides case management and individual and family therapy for youth and their families. Clinicians and case managers conduct psychosocial assessments, address mental health stigma, limited access to linguistically and culturally appropriate services, and cofactors specific behavioral health issues such as violence, chronic truancy, and substance use prevention.
The Community Outreach component outreaches to API at-risk youth with cultural and language barriers and multiple risk factors. Staff facilitate life skills/support groups, organize sports and activities at schools and community events. Other programs provide residents from undeserved neighborhoods including Bayview and Chinatown, with referral and linkages, and educational presentations and other community building events.
The Early & Intensive Intervention component focuses on addressing the needs of high risk and at-risk youth and their families with crisis intervention, information, linkages, mental health referrals, individual and family counseling, parenting class, care management services, court advocacy, conflict intervention, support groups, and referrals and linkages to culturally appropriate wraparound services.
The Education component provides after school programs at elementary schools for youth in grades K-5 with academic support, structured fitness recreation and skilled-based enrichment activities. Full day summer programs help students practice and strengthen curriculum and lessons learned during the school year. Component also provides school-based academic and social emotional learning skills support to newcomer youth for completing high school requirements, and college preparation or post-secondary education.
The Leadership Development component provides workshops, peer leader training, participating in organizing and action, service learning projects, and youth-led and youth driven events and activities to enhance knowledge and increase awareness of community issues Youth are encouraged to be involved through volunteer groups, community engagement, and civic engagement activities.
The Workshop Development component programs assist young job seekers with building the skills necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Programs provides job readiness training and placement workshops, soft skills preparation, internships, numeracy and literacy support, technology and computer skills training, and career exploration.
