Joni Chu
Director of Operations
Joni has been with Community Youth Center (CYC) for seven years as Director of Operations, overseeing school-based and workforce development programs, human resources, and special projects. Her leadership ensures CYC programs run smoothly and create lasting opportunities for youth leadership, achievement, and success.
Joni’s involvement with CYC began when her children participated in the Sunset Summer Program, inspiring her to join the organization. With a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and more than 25 years in youth and community development, Joni focuses on youth and community resilience and finds meaning and fulfillment in seeing individual youth realize their full potential.
