Halloween returns to Waverly Place
Halloween takes over Waverly Place on Sábado, Octubre 31, with the 12th Annual Chinatown Halloween Festival. From 11am to 3pm, families, neighbors, and visitors can spend the afternoon in Chinatown with Halloween activities, cultural performances, and local businesses.
Festival activities include:
- Pumpkin patch: Pick out a pumpkin to take home.
- Arts and crafts: Stop by for hands-on Halloween activities.
- VR games: Try an interactive virtual reality experience.
- Lion dances: Watch LionDanceMe perform a traditional lion dance on Waverly Place.
Costumes are encouraged. This year’s costume contest will award a $50 Chinatown dining gift certificate to the top three contestants in each category: children ages 0–11, teens ages 12–17, adults ages 18 and older, and families and groups.
Halloween goodie bags will also be available while supplies last. Pre-register for the costume contest by Miércoles, Octubre 28.
The Chinatown Halloween Festival closes out this year’s series of Waverly Place celebrations, following the Chinatown Springtime Festival and Craving Chinatown. Across the three events, Waverly Place becomes a gathering space for families, neighbors, visitors, and local businesses while highlighting the traditions and experiences that are part of Chinatown.
