Team Members

Ben has been the Community Relations Manager at Community Youth Center (CYC) for more than five years, focusing on development and external relations. He builds partnerships with donors, foundations, government agencies, and corporations while also overseeing CYC outbound communications and signature annual development events. 

Ben first worked with youth at the Chinese Culture Center, where he developed the “Art Buds” program, introducing young AAPI elementary students to art. His background uniquely mixes both art and science: prior to his nonprofit roles, Ben worked as an Applications Engineer and Software Product Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from UC Davis. 

For Ben, the most rewarding part of his CYC work is seeing the organization’s positive yearly impact on underserved AAPI youth and witnessing their growth into future community leaders.
