Young Adult Worklink (YAWL)

Young Adult Worklink (YAWL)

Since 2016, Young Adult Worklink (YAWL) has placed 100 young adults per year between ages 16-24 in part time and full time employment. Our knowledgeable staff teaches them the necessary hard and soft skills to help build a bridge between employers and potential employees who have limited or no employment history. At the end of YAWL’s job readiness training program, youth will have a complete job portfolio including completed resumes, cover letters, and usable references.

The program is based on cohorts in which each cohort goes through a series of workshops and one-on-one career services. Workshops consist of, but not limited to resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication and job searching. One-on-one career services offer personal counseling specific to a youth’s preferences and needs. Guest panelists and speakers from various industries and job functions are regularly invited to add professional career spotlights to part of the program mix.
