Team Members

Rachel Tan is an award-winning media professional with more than a decade of experience in community engagement, multicultural outreach, and event production. Before joining Community Youth Center (CYC), Rachel played a pivotal role in the launch and growth of the Sky Link TV San Francisco station, where she served as Marketing & Promotions Manager. In that role, she led public affairs campaigns, coordinated large-scale cultural events, and built strong relationships with community leaders, media outlets, and government agencies.

With a background in both traditional and digital media, Rachel has successfully managed high-impact outreach campaigns for many clients. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin as well as English, Rachel combines her strengths in press writing and grassroots organizing to serve as a powerful advocate for underrepresented communities.

Rachel was recently honored with the Best Feature Story Award at the 2023 Ethnic Media Awards. At CYC, she develops and manages special projects that uplift youth voices and strengthen communities.
