Taste your way through Chinatown: Craving Chinatown is back

Craving Chinatown returns to Waverly Place on Saturday, July 11 from 11am to 3pm, inviting community members and visitors alike to experience Chinatown through one of its most important traditions: food. From longtime neighborhood staples to newer favorites, the event offers a chance to explore the flavors, stories, and small businesses that continue to shape San Francisco’s Chinatown.

For $10, attendees will receive a tasting pass featuring bites from participating Chinatown vendors throughout the afternoon. Each stop offers something different while highlighting the cultural traditions and local businesses that continue to keep the neighborhood vibrant and connected.

More than a food event, Craving Chinatown creates space for people to gather, spend time in the neighborhood, and support the businesses that make Chinatown unique. Families, friends, and visitors from across the city are invited to walk Waverly Place, discover new favorites, and reconnect with the community at the center of it all.

Craving Chinatown is part of CYC annual Waverly Place festival series, which brings cultural activities and community events into the heart of Chinatown throughout the year. These gatherings help strengthen community connection while welcoming new audiences into the neighborhood and supporting local merchants.

Thank you to our sponsor San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development and our partners Lion Dance Me and Self-Help for the Elderly for making this event possible.
